About

Natalie Anderson being a keen sewist and having worked in the fashion industry for a number of years came to find that there were a few key pieces she would always default to in her wardrobe. The aim was to always feel "put together", to Natalie this meant the outfit, the hair, the nails all came together effortlessly and stylishly. Over time it became clear that there were a few key pieces that can make this happen with ease. These pieces were simple shapes, beautiful prints, cheerful and fit like a glove.

Natalie's kimonos always attracted compliments, they draped against the skin complimenting her shape and instantly elevated any outfit. It meant that this key part of the formula made feeling "put together" even easier. Whether meeting friends for lunch or trying out new restaurants she had pieces that were head-turning, dramatic and uniquely fashionable. The versatility became so valued in Natalie's wardrobe that she made more and more of them. They worked with the freshest new trainers out in Brick Lane London, they worked with sky high heels under the moonlit sky, they worked on lazy Saturday mornings with breakfast in bed, they worked at last minute brunch dates, solitary gallery visits and they when in the hospital giving birth and when breastfeeding in public for the first time. They worked with all that life would bring.

Natalie then realised, the key to feeling put together - every item that she wore had to bring something to the table, every item that she wore had to count. It needed drama, it needed life, it needed energy, it needed vitality, it needed to catch her eye. It needed to take part on those days when everything went her way and it needed to work on those days that could have gone better. Whether they were the prop for a fully fledged model walk or the hug needed at the end of a long day, these kimonos were it.

These carefully considered pieces and all that they were able to experience became the backdrop to a new clothing ethos. WEARAPHY.
